This is a detailed and comprehensive course tailored to those wishing to become a beauty therapist and/or make-up artist and work in the beauty and entertainment industry as a freelance artist, or within a beauty retail working environment.

Learn eyelash extensions, eyelash and eyebrow service, tanning, waxing, manicure and pedicure, and how to prepare the skin, effectively remove and apply full make-ups for beauty salons and the retail sales environment.

Airbrush techniques and specialist camouflage make-up application techniques on birthmarks for example, are also included in this course.

Communication and sound business skills are an essential part of running your own small business and are covered comprehensively during this course.

You may be required to bring a model to some practical beauty and make-up assessments and will be notified in advance of the dates and times if necessary.

Each lesson includes visuals, information, research, design and application.

You do have the option of using our beauty and make-up products including brushes and disposables for your course, which will be brought to each session by your Trainer.

Learn how to create styles for Bridal, Fashion Magazines, Glamour Photographic and Catwalk.

We show you how to effectively use hair equipment, what products to use on the hair to create different looks and how to work with different hair textures and types.

Professional blow drying, confident straightening, effective curling, up styles, finger waves, fish braiding, chignon, french roll, pony tail, avant gare, the Jackie O and Victoria Secret styles are all included in this course.

Learn how to use accessories such as flowers, hair pieces, wigs, veil and padding with ease!

Course Information:

Learn how to prepare the skin, effectively remove and apply full make-ups for Film, Theatre, Television, Bridal, Editorial – Fashion Magazine, Glamour Photographic Studio, and Catwalk.

Hair styling for all aspects of your make-up and hair career are covered in our comprehensive hair units.

There are no special effects make-up units in this course.

Communication and sound business skills are an essential part of running your own small business and are covered comprehensively during this course.  Other units include camouflage make-up for tattoos and birth marks.

We do not require you to bring a model as you work on other course participants, however, in the event of an assessment you will be notified prior if a model is necessary.

Work Experience:

Students will be required to complete 50 additional work experience hours in the industry.  Some of these hours will be offered by Makeup Academy Noosa.

Make-up Kit Information:

Please note the Make-up Kit of your choice (Kit 1 or Kit 2), the Professional Brush Set of your choice (10 or 15 piece) and the Hair Kit are compulsory to purchase when studying at the Academy and are separate to the course and administration costs.  You will be required to bring your own disposables to each lesson.

Once you have received course confirmation, you will be required to pay a deposit for Administration Costs, Make-up Kit, Brush Set and Hair Kit total cost.  The balance of $7850 is due on or before the first day of your course unless you choose a payment plan. This deposit is non-refundable.  Fortnightly and Monthly payment plans are available.

Support Services:

Prior to commencement of our certificate courses, we assess and identify any support services necessary, to provide learners with every opportunity to complete their chosen qualification.
